Today our class went out onto the courts to learn about perimeters. We learned how to work out the perimeter of a rectangle and a square. We also learned how to use stage 4, stage 5 and stage 6 strategies. The best part was when I was learning how to do my mm,cm and m.
I am a Year 8 student at Tamaki Primary School in Auckland, NZ. I am in the Kia Manawanui Syndicate and my teachers are Ms Aireen and Whaea Petra.

My Maths Goals
Today I did a Maths test with Mrs Manuyag. I learned:
- I am below the right stage for adding and subtraction.
- I am below in my times tables.
- I am below in my fractions.
My goal is now going to be to focus on everything! I am going to do this by staying focused at Maths time and working by myself. I am also going to ask my mum and dad to help me with my times tables.
